and is indeed a Master Journeyman at his craft. Howard offers a unique perspective
to his clients. His experience covers Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations.
Howard has held various positions that include: Chief Engineer, Plant Manager,
General Manager, Vice President Custom Engineered Products and Business Development,
Vice President Sales and Marketing, and Founder and President. Howard not only
understands the technology but how an organization needs to apply it from top
to bottom. He also has gained an in-depth, knowledge of abrasives, the importance
of their correct interfacing with the sander and the complete sanding process.
Howard brings a very hands-on and common sense approach to his audits. He personally
meets with the clients and reviews first hand the setup and production of the
sanding operations. His recommendations are specific to your equipment and conditions.
After a proper diagnosis is made, Howard provides customized solutions and specific
training to management down through the operators to ensure the entire organization
is moving forward together. After implementation of your customized solutions
SSC will conduct follow up checks on an as needed basis.

Sanding Systems Consulting Inc President, Howard Grivna has over 47 years of experience and is recognized as one of the foremost authorities in the wide belt sanding and abrasives industries. In 2002 Howard was the recipient of the Wood Machinery Manufacturer Association's prestigious "Ralph Baldwin Award Of Excellence" for his contributions to the industry. Howard is also a contributor to the trade magazine Modern Woodworking where he authors a bi-monthly column entitled "Sanding Sense."
